Known famously for his commentary on pigeons, doubledecker busses, tea ladies and cakes as well as the Cricket that he was supposed to be talking about, the voice of Radio 4’s Test Match Special, Henry “Blowers” Blofeld, is coming to Harpenden Public Halls as part of ongoing celebrations to mark his 70th year.
His side-splitting one man ‘Loves and Laughs’ show is a true raconteurs tour de force as he spins his way through tales of his bizarre Edwardian upbringing in Norfolk, his Etonian schooling and lack-lustre dabbling in a promising City career before eventually bringing himself to the public airwaves with his love of Cricket.
